Do I have herpes or not ?

I am an Indian 29 yo guy. I had an unprotected sexual exposure on 1st of jan 2018. After 4 months I did STD panel testing all tests result came out negative including HIV. But since I was anxious about HIV I again tested after 5 months of exposure which came negative again.
But i got HsV 1and2 igg as reactive. The value to be reactive as per report should greater than 1.20 and my test result was 1.25. While the value in the post 4 month twst was .13.

I didnt have sex in last 6 months at all. How fors my HsV status change. Is this a false positive

Both of those are really low (if you meant the 4 month was 1.3 and not .13, which is negative). I'd ask for a type specific IgG and see what those say, as it looks like you had a combination test done, which tests for both antibodies together and doesn't differentiate.

Most experts feel that anything under 3.5 is likely a false positive and needs to be confirmed. Since yours is so close to the cut off, I'd definitely agree with that.

Thank you for your response. Was really waiting for one.

I have two points .
1. The igg value for the combination test was actually 0.13 and yes it was negative.i was happy to be HIV and herpes free. This was after the  120 days of unprotected  exposure with a CSW.
2.I was still not over my HIV status. I again did the std panel and rhis time the value of HSV came out 1.25.
3 I have read many forums here. It says acter 12weeks hsv result for igg test i conclusive.  But mine came out lowest possible positive.

I do not have metal strength anymore to go through the same waiting for test results.
What are your opinions.
Thanks
