Do I have herpes?

I recently had sex with a new partner who had a cold sore (Herpes Simplex 1), we did not kiss or perform oral due to this but did have protected sex, she did perform unprotected oral sex 2 weeks prior but there were no sign of cold sores at that time.

Recently I've developed itching around the anus and pubic area of my genitals, there's no rash and it comes and goes in different spots and has been happening for around 1 1/2 weeks, there doesn't seem to be any blisters formed, im also unwell and have swollen glands in the neck and armpit. I'm panicking a little as typing this into Google seems to point me towards herpes.

Are my symptoms of itching accurate for herpes? Any help would be appreciated!

How accurate is the igg blood test when picking up HSV2? I will be having a blood test next week which will be 12 weeks post exposure, how confident in the result can I be? I know it may miss hav1, do changes in the index values mean anything?

The itching/burning is still present around the genitals/anus 2 months since although it is slightly better, is it common for symptoms to last this long? As it affects the nerves could it remain there longer than, a couple of weeks? All other std checks coming back negative so struggling to understand.

I had a IGG blood test but it was done at 5 1/2 weeks post first encounter with partner 1, 4 weeks after 2nd partner so was too soon, this did come back as negative for both but not sure on the reliability of those being so early. I am scheduled for another this week which would be 11 weeks since partner1 and 9 weeks since partner 2.

With regards to the lip tingling/burning, does it always result in lesions? I had several small cuts during this time?

Is it possible to get herpes orally and genitally during the same encounter?

Thanks

You could have an outbreak anywhere in the boxer shorts region. That being said i do not suspect hsv. Sounds more like a fissure. I would get it looked at for a proper diagnosis

No, itching is not accurate for a herpes primary outbreak. Chances are the first thing you would notice is lesions forming. Your being unwell and swollen lymph nodes in your neck are not a symptom of hsv genital infection.

Thanks for the reply.

I've also had pain in the anus area, there has been some blood but it's difficult to check for blisters or sores though. Would you expect herpes to affect the anus if there was no activity near there? Only oral sex and protected vaginsl sex? Not sure how the virus works
