Ex boyfriend had HSV-2. No symptoms. Need some advice.

I had a relationship with a man who had herpes 2. We were very safe and used condoms every time, he took the antiviral suppressive oral tablet. There was one occasion when the condom broke during sex. But we just dealt with it and hoped for the best. I was quite scared. We have not been together for 3 years now and this incident was close to 4 years ago. Could I have Herpes 2 ~ I have never had any blisters or symptoms but I am anxious that it is silent and I am putting others at risk?

It's possible but very unlikely. A simple igg blood test will answer this question

Thank you for your reply, I was slightly off on the timings as it was actually 2 years since I was with him and 3 years since the incident. My worry is that I never thought about this until recently and am now 1 year into a new relationship ~ have I been stupid not to think of this? Should I disclose that I have had this relationship? I feel like I have been careless? I am extremely scared of the implications of a conversation like this?

There is no reason to bring it up. You have no symptoms and have not tested positive. If you are concerned then test. It's easy and you'll have the answer
