Eye Herpes?

People are constantly throwing around the fact that you can get eye herpes if you have cold sores.  What is the actual percentage of people that get this condition?  I thought it's really rare even if you do have HSV1.  Is this something that a person with HSV1 needs to constantly worry about??

Grace, ha.  Thanks for smacking me.  I needed that.  I may need to be committed soon.  I feel like Howard Hughes.  I had an eye infection and I just can't get this out of my mind.  I've never been so aware of every little thing wrong with me and I'd really like to go back to the days when ignorance was bliss.  Maybe I'll just have a drink.  Thanks for setting me straight.

why are you worrying about this when you don't have herpes?  if you've run out of things to worry about, I can give you a few to add to your list :)

no one should be worrying about eye herpes actually. think about it, if you know that 1 out of every 2-3 people you have known in your lifetime has oral herpes, how many of those do you know have herpes eye infections?  it really is THAT low of an issue in adults.
