Fever symptoms along with raw penis skin

13 days ago I received unprotected oral sex from a sex worker.  I am an idiot, I know.  Anyway, I noticed a couple of days after that my scrotum was red and irritated.  Also at this time I had been working outside in hot humid climate for long periods, so I somewhat dismissed it as I also have an area in a skin fold to the left of my shaft where i get jock itch often.  8 days after the contact, i began getting mild feverish symptoms that included swollen glands in the neck, mild fever, malaise, loss of appetite, irritability.  Also noticed that my penis shaft and some of the tip felt sort of raw and irritated, almost like it was rubbed raw or felt like a tiny papercut.  Tried Neosporin, Cortizone cream, and also sprayed Tinactin on the jock itch area.  Now, 13 days later, the fever symptoms are subsiding, and the jock itch seems to be clearing, but the penis shaft, couple areas around the head and at the tip at the urethra are still sore.  No red spots or lesions and this has been similar to this now for 4-5 days.  If this was herpes, would I have lesions in these areas and would I have had them at the same time along with the fever? or would they come after the fever?  Could this be skin irritation from the neopsporin, cortizone or tinactiin spray? I'm sure it could also be stress and anxiety which I have a lot of right now.  Appreciate your opinions.

doesn't sound like herpes but you can never be sure. i'm leaning toward you don't but you should follow up with your doctor get a base blood test asap then retest in 3 months.

Hi, sounds like you may have picked up a fungus infection in that all your symptoms are topical. I think best to see your doctor to make sure all is ok.
