Genital HSV1 FEMALES ONLY please help!
Hi, I am looking for women who have INTERNAL only HSV1 breakouts and/or very mild breakouts with just 1 "bump." I cannot move on with my life not knowing if I have it genitally or not. I have had PCR tests done and ran to clinics to swab any bumps, cuts, everything and anything. I was actually banned from a clinic cuz I was using their resources and they stated I did not have it, but needed psychological help. I have never had an outbreak, but I get this under the skin bump around my period monthly on my left labia. I do think I have prodromes. Itchy inner thighs, paralyzing back pain, headaches. In the past a year later after infection. It felt like someone was scrubbing underwear between my thighs. Then years later it felt like someone was sticking a needle in my peehole. I go through phases. I have never felt the same. A couple of years ago I had a brazilian laser done with a bad reaction. My skin never had blisters, but she burned me so bad the flesh came off. I've had what I've thought to have a "burning pee" feeling at times, but nothing too uncomfortable. How can I prove once and for all if I have it? I was a virgin until 26 and after losing my virginity I got a cold sore, but at the time I had no idea what it was since we've never had cold sores in our family nor knew anyone with it. It grew after I knicked my cheek. I thought it was a very nasty yellow crusty infected pimple that no matter how much I picked and cleaned kept coming back. The ******* who gave it to me said "whats that?" Like he didn't know. I knew nothing until 7 months later I took a full STD test and wala 5.00 IGM positive. I actually go over the charts the viral load is so high. I had no sexual contact with anyone and that night I never kissed him, but it was my 1st time "trying" oral. I licked it for a second, but I know that's all it takes now. I go into bouts of depression. I really need someone to help me figure this out. How did you know you had genital HSV1 if you never had the full blown breakout? What prodromes do you experience? What does your "bump" look like and feel like? Thanks!
Go get a western blood test... that will tell you if you really have it!

I know I have it. I got a cold sore before.
Okay, deep breath here. I am a little confused. You said that you lost your virginity but the. Later state you haven’t had sex with anyone. I am going to assume you are not a virgin. So first off, the IGM test is garbage. Never trust it for a proper diagnosis. If you have had cold sores on your lip, than 99.9% it is HSV1 oral. That is if what you had is a cold sore. Did you get the mouth sore swabbed to confirm? HSV1 is so incredibly common that chances are you have been exposed to it somewhere in your life.
Now onto the genital symptoms. Herpes doesn’t cause a bump under the skin. What you have sounds more like a cyst that flairs with your monthly cycle. Herpes sores or lesions
may start out as a raised part of skin but soon, within a day or two, become a open sore or clear blister. They are not pus-filled. They are superficial (on the surface) blisters filled with clear liquid.
Licking someone’s penis would not give you genital herpes. And it would be extremely low, low risk for oral herpes. Like so low risk, I wouldn’t think twice about it. If you ever had sexual intercourse, especially unprotected, then there is a risk of HSV2. Condoms do provide a woman with great protection.
So you want to know how to find out once and for all? If it’s been at least 12 weeks since your last sexual encounter, and IgG test is the one you want. NOT AN IGM! The IgG is excellent at detecting HSV2. For HSV1, unfortunately, it can miss a good chunk of infections.
Genital hsv discharge tends to be very watery and clearish. I hope this information helps! Relax!

Just to clarify. I am so sorry!!!! I meant IGG test. It is very valid. I meant that I had never had sexual contact before except when I lost my virginity at 26 years old. I am now 32 years old. I did NOT wear a condom that night hence why I feel I caught it orally & genitally from his penis. Do you have HSV1 genitally? A lot of plp have atypical herpes that do not resemble the blister or sore. A lot of women state it can show as papercuts or just a bump that NEVER sheathes. I had cysts as a virgin. I know what those are. It is not a cyst. I really would like to email someone who has HSV1 genitally. I do not have HSV2. That test remains negative after all these years. Thanks!
I do not have HSV1 genitally. So you get cold sores, correct? That is hsv 1. When you have this unprotected sex at 26, did you receive oral sex from this partner? HSV1 genitally sheds very rarely, so it doesn’t transmit as easily as HSV2.
An hsv Western Blot from the University of Washington can tell you if you are infact positive for 1 and/or 2 but it will not tell you the location. The only way to know is if you have an outbreak swabbed by PCR. When you get this bump, you should go to a different clinic/urgent care and ask them to swab it. Of course, hsv can present itself in various different ways...a cut, blister, abrasion...but your bump doesn’t sound like one of those ways. I’m not a doctor so all I can suggest is seeing a clinician or maybe finding a gynecologist that you can build a trust with, so they can point you in the right direction.

No I NEVER had a cold sore in my life or knew what it was UNTIL after that sexual encounter. I developed a cold sore a month later after exposure so for me. He infected me. He never gave me oral sex or even kissed me. I guess I will just get the bump swabbed, but I'm afraid I have internal outbreaks and could infect someone. I have not been living my life. This has really scarred me.
If he didn’t kiss you, then he would not be the source of your cold sore. I think you should definitely get this bump swabbed to give some peace of mind and possibly consider another IgG test or, if it’s been over 12 weeks, go directly to the Western Blot to give a definitive answer.
I really appreciate your help, BUT, you do NOT have herpes so you cannot relate. HSV1 can live on the genitals so you can pass it from genital to oral contact. This is a SKIN disease. It lives in secretions. I was very pure. I never had oral, anal, vaginal intercourse. As a kid I caught everything. My skin is very sensitive. I told you I already took a blood test! Its positive IGG for over 5.00. It is extremely high. I have been tested for everything and all are negative except HSV1. I realize now what they mean by "tingling." It is very prominent on my nose then later I am pretty sure I got a breakout recently on my gums. All I can do is get bump swabbed and swabbed internally when I feel that back pain. It is debilitating. I had to crawl to the bathroom. HSV is not just a skin disease. It affects your nerves horribly and causes so many diseases.
I am just trying to help. Having hsv or not doesn’t mean people don’t know and understand the conditions. I totally understand about wanting to talk to someone experiencing similar issues, so I will refrain from commenting. I wish you the best of luck!

I’m giving information based on what you have said. I did say I’m not a doctor, so it’s simply my opinion. I am not passing misinformation. There are points in your post that are confusing (lost virginity at 26, then stating you haven’t had sex), so maybe something got lost in translation for me. Might I suggest the Honeycomb forum. It is a support forum and the people there are very helpful and could possibly give you direction that you may find beneficial. And these are people who share the condition. Good luck!
Yes I lost my virginity then did not have sex with anyone after so I know he gave it to me if I didnt have HSV1. I dont understand what's confusing. You are spreading misinformation stating you can't get it this way, etc when clearly you can read everyones experiences on here who debate the "medical" science. HSV causes cancer, bells palsy, tons of diseases. I feel prodomes every single day, but never get outbreaks so I really think theyre internal if they do happen which sux because itll be hard to prove.
What do internal breakouts feel like? Is there discharge? What color does the pus from a herpes blister look like? How do you find out if you have internal breakouts?
