Genital Herpes or Mind Games...Please help

On June 6th I had protected intercourse in a hot tub along with hand job. The HJ was agressive and left a large sore on the shaft of my penis. It lasted several weeks and then went away, it itched a bit and was sore but did not think much about it.

In the beginning of July, I noticed  bumps in my pubic region. I experienced what I believe to be prodrome symptoms but no painful or liquid filled bumps appeared. The bumps did itch but were not painful.  I scheduled an appt at PPH. Discussed with the nurse practioner my symptoms. She looked at the bumps in my pubic region and said it was follocletitus (sorry about spelling). I asked if she was sure and she said 100%.

Two weeks later I was still having weird symptoms and noticed new bumps at the base of my penis and on the shaft. I went back to PPH. She looked at the bumps again and said it was MC. I did pop one of the lesions at the base of my penis and I got a hard waxy pus ball followed by a small amount of blood but no clear liquid.  These lesions were never painful nor did I have painful urination. The only things I had were prodrome symptoms and the bumps that appeared after 30+ days.

I asked the partner if they had any symptoms that would lead them to believe they had herpes and their response was never. They did say they were being treated for thrush at the time of our encounter. I asked them to get tested. They had a herpeselect IGG test done that came back negative but am not sure if they did have it, that the test would be accurate due to time.

In late December, I experienced what I believe to be prodrome symptoms but no lesions. I did have 5 or so tiny (1-2mm) bumps that were white in appearance that lasted over a week without erupting. 4 on the left side of my penis and 1 on the right side. They did become red when I messed with them, I know not supposed to do this.

Fast forward to now (8+ months)I have not had another outbreak but continue to occasionally have red sore spots in my pubic hard and occasional tingling feelings but never an outbreak or lesions. The tingling happens in both my pubic region and penis head.

I occasionally get red bumps on the ridge of my penis glans but the go away within a few days.

Has my mind convinced me I have genital herpes. Does this sound like it may be herpes? Just without the painful lesions? Should I trust the NP on her assessment? She said she was sure (100%) it was not herpes. That being said I read how many do not know thay have it.

If an expert could help me, that would be greatly appreciated.

Life360dave is 100% correct. Getting hsv while in a hot tune is absolutely not going to happen. The virus is fragile when exposed and there is no chance of any virus attaching itself to you. Zero chance.

Thanks for your support. I had a blood test taken yesterday and should have results Friday. That being said, I am super nervous of the results and was looking for piece of mind before I get the results. I know, crazy but I am loosing sleep over this.

Doesn't sound like hsv lesions at all. Next time you get them see your Dr and have them swabbed and hsv tested. When it comes back negative. Move on.

I really hope your correct. I know the mind is powerful and convince you anything. I have been having unprotected sex with my SO since July, because the nurse practionor stated she was 100% confident. My SO has not had any outbreaks etc. just not sure why I continue to have prodrome symptoms and the red spots on penis head.

I am sure the NP knows what she is talking about.

Hi, in the real world getting herpes while in a hot tub is impossible, if not due to the hot water then due to the water washing away any topical  virus.
