Genital Herpes?

so I had a sexual encounter. in December i started feeling a really sharp pain in my groin and was very difficult to pass urine from my penis. Went to the ER they said it was prob a kidney stone so I didnt think it was an STD they tested me for GON and Chlamydia just in case. After going on vacation in NY everything seemed to stay the same i also was getting a red irritation in the opening of my penis. This all went away for almost 2 weeks. The pain came back in my left side of my groin and eventually i started feeling a almost like sunburn feeling on my legs. My penis has become more sore and the burning of my thighs is constant. I had a IGG herpes blood test done and it came back negative. This has been constant for about a month now and i have had random back aches and a sore throat. The other day i also noticed 1 maybe two small round purple M&M sized purple dots on the inside of my anus . My anus also has seemed to be inflamed and irritated. the std doc told me that i deff do not have herpes but idk anymore

usually just a burning sensation is jock itch, not herpes.

Is it common to have genital herpes never getting actual blisters or lesions just feeling the burning feeling?

oral herpes doesn't often affect the tongue. sounds more like a fungal infection from the antibiotics or irritation that cleared up on its own.

yep, testing after 4 months is accurate.

Here is an update I recently got another full std test everything negative including hsv1 and hsv2 both igg. The PA Thought maybe my symptoms were bacterial and prescribed me flagyl and avelox took them for 7 days actually felt some relief. Shortly after finishing the antibiotics I noticed my tounge was very sore I looked in the mirror to find about 6 or 7 tiny bumps and about 2/3 of my tounge was red this has since gone away but I'm not completely convinced that this is not herpes due to my genital burning returning. These last tests were just over 4 months after exposure is after 4 months defiantly going to be a accurate test? Any input would be great thanks

so here is an update I have had 2 IGG HSV1 and HSV2 bloodtests done at the end of Feburary and than 2 weeks later still Negative they even did the IGM tests. I have been having the same constant burning in my Genitals and upper thighs this whole time only ever getting relief in the mornings it seems. I have also been having what I think is swollen lymph nodes in the left side of my groin . I have had ultrasounds of my groin and testicles awaiting those results but guessing they will come back normal. My penis head is always irratated looking and very sensitive to touch. I am not crazy but everyone I have seen so far thinks it is Anxiety related which I never even thought about STD's intill I started feeling symptoms. I know my body and know there is something wrong. I think I am just writing on here to vent because I dont have many people that I can talk to about this. Any input would be appreciated. Im wondering if I maybe need to wait longer than repeat the STD testing idk anymore. I have thought maybe this is postherpetic neuralgia because it sounds so much like what I am feeling pretty much nerve pain.

you need to be seen. this isn't a herpes issue.

I have been having some newer symptoms from my last post.... I have been having some pretty intense penile pain seems like in my urethra and i have been having the same issues with my skin burning in my thighs and now my buttocks. it seems like when i wear shorts and the air can get to those places its not bad but when im wearing pants the contact of the clothing to my skin is very irritating. still have not seen any blisters/lesions that i would think its herpes but im just so afraid that i may have it. does this sound anything like that. can you give me some more input

we never have the sort of contact it takes to transmit herpes to our children. no worries there!!

continue to follow up regularly with your providers for your symptoms.

Thanks for replying

I have been having that kind of like sunburn icy hot feeling on my thighs and my groin area now for about 3 weeks does that sound anything like herpes i also noticed a small bump on my taint its there now and was there about a month ago i pooped it and a huge white head came out and than went away in like 2 days (sorry for sounding gross) I just dont know how to explain to my doc whats going on he keeps looking at me like im crazy but i deff have these symptoms. the only thing that seems to be helping is over the counter benadryl pills. do you think i should go get another blood test I just got one 2 weeks ago or should i wait its all free to me. thank you and sorry im just really paranoid and its all i think about.... I have a 1 yr old who has developed a rash on his butt and above his privates the doctor said its ringworm which i find kinda odd but i cant help but think its something that i could have given him by touching him ughhh

none of this sounds std related so I wouldn't hesitate to keep following up on this.

I have been back to the STD clinic only to get my test reults. I am in the Army and im very nervous to tell anyone I may have a possible std. I have gotten a few bumps in my Groin reagion nothing that looks like the pictures I have seen on the internet but ive read that its different for everyone. The only thing that soothes the feeling in my penis and my skin in my thighs and groin is a warm bath. like I said  I had a negative IGG test but I keep reading that it could take up to 3 to 6 months to even get a positive Im just not sure.

herpes doesn't cause constant pain like this.

are you continuing to be seen by your regular provider for your symptoms?
