Grace or someone with testing info, very confused

Quick summary with some additional information, any thoughts would be appreciated.

- Tested HSV 2 pos with 2.67 IGG 8 days after encounter. Single encounter with 21 year female, don't know her status and can't get in touch to ask her to get tested.
- Neg for all other STD's including HSV 1
-  2nd test 11 days post encounter 3.1 IGG
- WB Negative 17 days post encounter
- 3rd IGG 1.99 10 weeks after encounter

I have had no lesions or symptoms other than anxiety and a lot of genital focus worrying about every itch or slight tingle.

None of this is making sense.  8 days, I think is too early for pos test.  No exposures at least 12 months prior to encounter, previous negative IGG tests.  Neg WB.  Decreasing IGG and no symptoms, would be a primary HSV infection.  I know IGG levels fluctuate, but from a 3.1 to a 1.99,  from everything I read IGG levels would be increasing with a new infection representing new seroconversion and increasing antibody production.

Also talked to someone at UW virology  clinic that thought if I had really seroconverted that early the WB would have been indeterminate versus negative at 17 days.  But didn't think it was really possible to have that result 8 days post encounter.

Very confused and lots of anxiety

Thanks for the reply.  I did use STD check.  I don't have any confidence in the people from these  companies when it comes to answering questions.  they are completely out of the loop with the issues of low positives.

It did give me some more confidence that my number went way down, but was hoping to get some more thoughts regarding my overall situation.  The testing numbers do not make any sense to me based on the information I have read, but the stress and anxiety of waiting is difficult as I can tell you are experiencing as well.  Hoping for the best.  Glad your numbers are still very low.  You haven't done any more testing?

Hi GDHerpesHelp,

I been looking for your post and waiting for your results.  Your 1.99 IGG  DECREASE should give you more peace of mind rather than confusion. I believe/think it should increase if you were indeed infected.  That's what I think.

I hope life360 or Grace can shed more lights on this.  Frankly, I am scared to take another IGG after the .92 (day 12) then 1.05 (day 22).

Didn't the nurse told you to ignore IGG test?  I know this is difficult.  We just have to wait for a western blot exam post three month exposure.

Stay positive and stay active/in touch.
