HSV & Tobacco use?

Has anyone heard of or know of any affects that tobacco use has on a person with Herpes? Does it cause prolonged outbreaks? or antibody suppresion? etc.Thanks and appreciate any information/knowledge!!!!!

I'd like to know what sverity herpes esophigitis is, if it falls under t-1 or t-2.  Also, is it easily treatable, what i read in wiki says 14 to 21 day tx.  if it is brough on by a 'carrier'.  Oh, and how does smoking, dip affect any form of hsv, came here for taht never had it answered

actually everything but hepatitis and hiv are my std subjects...lol. herpes is just my favorite subject :)

we don't have any commercially available tests for hpv and males is correct.  There is some testing out there and it varies in its usefulness but it's hard to find. also most males aren't thrilled to have their genital areas rubbed with a mild sand paper for testing.

Thanks Grace! Not to be getting off "your" subject, but I hear there is no test for men & hpv? and then some places I hear there is a test for men? any thoughts? I understand if you don't respond.....I know HSV is your topic? But thank you for your previous responses! I know that you being on here and offering your knowledge has helped....alot of people!!!

yes there is info out there that hpv is more persistent in folks who smoke cigarettes.

I know this is not your dept.? but it may have been hpv I was thinking of? any thoughts there?

I'm not aware of any studies on cigarette smoking and herpes.
