Is it herpes?

Me and my girlfriend have had unprotected and protected sex. I've only slept with one other person before her. The girl before was a virgin and so was I. We both have a clean bill of health, no STIs or anything. My current girlfriend had sex with more than one partner before me, but she also is negative for STIs. When we have unprotected sex, everything was fine. However, the last time we had sex it was with a condom, and now she says she has a serious rash and some blistering (I think). I thought it was an allergic reaction to the latex of the condom, but its been bothering her for a week. She went to the clinic and they told her it looks like a mild case of herpes, but they're not sure. Its causing a lot of tension on the relationship. is a severe rash from an allergic reaction or did I somehow get the disease without know and not even have sex with someone else?

Hi the only way to know if she has genital herpes is to have a blood test but even more important is to have the rash swabbed. Could be a allerigic reation or herpes.
