HSV I & II test results

I recently got my test results back from the doctors and I am confused and very freaked out. I don't know what they mean. I haven't shown any symptoms of having herpes ever (not even any cold sores or anything) but the test results (i think) mean that I have it.

My results were:

HSV 1 IGG Type Specific AB        4.11 H
HSV 2 IGG Typer Specific AB       2.48 H

Do I have Herpes? What should I do? Help! I'm freaking out.

you are positive on your tests for both hsv1 and hsv2. Most adults do test + for hsv1 but  most don't recall obvious cold sores. That is why testing is so helpful in determining your status.

your hsv2 igg is a low positive and needs confirmed with further testing. We recommend a herpes WB blood test to see what your status is for sure.

if you have a regular partner, they too should be tested to know their status too.

Are they both only spread sexually? Or could I have gotten them other ways?

Well there is a small chance of false positive for type 2, I would have grace answer that for you.
But from what I heard there is more of a chance of false neg than pos for hsv1, so you do have hsv1.
I know it sux I'm pos for hsv1 via blood test! Yet never had a real cold sore!!
