HSV equivocal results of 1.07? After having unprotected sex 6 months ago

So I met this girl online over the summer around July, usually I practice safe sex but idk what was going through my head. Anyways we hit it off and starting dating after our second time together we decided to have unprotected sex after she convinced me she was std free. The last time we had sex was around July 21 -25  .. after our first time unprotected together I noticed some discharge the next morning but no burn and quickly went in to get tested. All results came back negative.. I also went and got a 10 test panel on the 8th of august in which all results were negative too. Through out the month of august I started to notice my penis start to get extremely dry and flake. I quickly scheduled an appointment with a dermatologist who diagnosed me with jock itch due to the peeling of skin on my inner thighs and penis .. after the treatment I noticed my penis still was extremely dry and scheduled another appointment. This time I was diagnosed with HPV due to the warts on my penis (different dermatogist, same office) .. At this point I'm extremely devastated with life. I get the warts frozen off but still have the same problem ..so I book another dermatologist appointment and he prescribes me some cream to apply twice a day .. long story short, I decided to get another 10 panel test done on the 12th of February 6 months later and everything came back negative but my HSV 2 which was at a 1.07 on an index of .91-1.09 .. negative 1.09 .. the nurse tells me on the phone that I have HSV 2 and that I need to come in and talk with a doc. I have yet to go in because I'm severely depressed.. also started noticing raised flesh colored bumps all over my scrotum (not blister like) I'm not sure if they're fordyce spots or herpes, so I plan on booking a dermatologist appointment and retesting.. my question is if I had HSV 2 wouldn't my results be in the higher positive range after 6 months prior to exposure ?

P.s we split at the end of august

In most cases if you were truely positive the numeric value would be well over that. Anything less than a 3.5 is suspect for a false positive. I highly doubt you have hsv2 and your equivocal numeric value suggests the same. Retest in a few weeks as hsv2 tests are sensitive and can pick up other odd protiens. In the mean time don't stress as hsv us extremely unlikely in your case.
