I performed mutual masturbation with another guy. 17 days later I got two distinct ed rashes on my glans penis after masturbating myself. I put hydrocortisone cream on before going to bed. bleeding during the swab isn't unusual. Generally they don't bleed unless they've been scratched open.

you can have herpes lesions anywhere in the entire boxer short area. they aren't only where the body part came in contact with the virus on another person.
Thank you for your response. I have one last question: do herpes lesions usually appear on the point of contact (eg the shaft) or could they appear on the glans even if the glans had not been in contact? How likely would this be?
Not sure why you're still questioning if it's herpes. As Grace stated, you won't get herpes from mutual masturbation. There's a reason they call it safe sex.
That being said, you could have herpes - assuming you've not been tested before and are sexually active... but just not from this encounter.

The provider wasn't sure. She didn't think it herpes, and she had seen a lot, though there was one bump that she was a little concerned about. When she swabbed the bump, it bled (as did the other sores). After, the bump returned and then disappeared over the next day or two.
I have had yeast infection in the past, but tests ruled this out. I also have had fixed drug reactions in my glans, but this is not the case now.
One question: is it likely that herpes would erupt in the glans if the shaft, not the glans, had been the point of hand contact?

you won't contract genital herpes from mutual masturbation.
what did your provider feel these were when you were seen?
otc steroid creams are very irritating to our sensitive genital skin too. In the future, don't use it unless directed to by a provider.
