Has anyone w herpes knowledge ever experienced this?

Has anyone with herpes ever experienced prolonged prodromal symptoms such as tingling in the genital area for over a month? Or burning sensation in the vagina for 6 weeks?

I'm having the same thing.  H lives in the sensory portion of the nerve and just google constant prodrome. It does happen to some regardless of what "experts" say.

I meant to also say that prolonged vaginal area burning could be yeast. If not, maybe idiopathic vulvodynia. The fancy name doesn't tell you much -- it just means vulvar pain without known cause. But it's not all that rare. Your gynecologist will know about it, so get it checked out. (Herpes doesn't cause it.)

Herpes almost certainly is not the cause of such symptoms. Herpes lesions can burn, but HSV doesn't cause burning alone; and only causes symptoms limited to 1-2 weeks, i.e. outbreaks. Ongoing neurological symptoms, like tingling, also are not known to result from herpes -- only prodrome, which by definition occurs for only a couple days before an outbreak.

Best wishes.
