Help!! Freaking out! Confused!

Hello Everyone,
I had a few quick questions for you? 12 Days ago I had a very brief unprotected encounter, I did not want it to continue so I asked him to stop and he did. But starting 6 days ago I've been having this weird feeling in my genital area, almost like someone has put icyhot or Vicks vapor rub on my vulva, its pretty constant, not painful just annoying. I went to the Dr. 5 days ago and he said he is 92% sure its a yeast infection. But I've been on the medication and its done nothing? Also I've been having this weird feeling up and down both lega into my feet and currently a sore throat, stuffy nose, cough and headache ( but my 5 year old also has the cold so I'm not too concerned about that) I have no pain during urination, and no lesions or blisters?  But I have this terrible gut feeling that its herpes!? How long do these so called prodome symptoms last? And does it sound like my symptoms are herpes? Thanks in advance for any help and or advice.

no your entire genital area wouldn't feel that way with herpes.  give this some time and if it doesn't go away, return to be seen again.

And by brief encounter....I mean penetration maybe 3-4 times...does that play a factor? TIA

I was seen on Friday (5 days ago) he said that everything looked fine, besides some plaque which was yeast related the yeast test came back positive. I still have the "icyhot" feeling but no blisters, lesions or any pain. Just the weird sensation. Is this typical with herpes outbreaks or no? It's the whole vulva region not one spot?

you were seen and they didn't see any signs of anything herpes related going on.

at this point, finish your yeast treatment, wait a week and return to be seen again if you still have symptoms.

since you had unprotected sex, following up with proper testing at the proper times is also a good idea.  you can get tested for gonorrhea, chlamydia and trich any time after 1 week post encounter. syphilis after 1 weeks. herpes, hiv and hepatitis after 3 months.
