Herpe Select Test Results HELP

I am a female. Recently went for blood test, and results came back with the following. My doctor explain that I am only HSV 1 positive, but as I study the test results, I don't quite get how it is. I would love to have some feedback on what my test results really stand for.

- HEPATITIS B SURFACE AB, QL Reactive
- HSV 1 IGG HERPESELECT AB 1.01 H Interpretation: Equivocal
- HSV 2 IGG HERPESELET AB 0.15 Interpretation: Negative
- HSV IgM AB TITER 1:80H

Thank you!

not likely he had type specific herpes igg blood testing at a free clinic to be honest. have you seen his actual test results?

you need to wait at least 3 months after you had last had sex prior to your symptoms to repeat your herpes igg blood testing.

My partner went to a free clinic to do a blood test, and his test result was negative, which it's hard to believe my doctor says I have HSV 1, and he doesn't. I may as well get tested in a few weeks again.

I went to a STD clinic when I had something that I wasn't sure what it was. The doctor said what I had was genital herpes, he prescribed me with medications. I went to my GYN for a blood test two weeks after the outbreak, and that was the result I got back. However, I have to say the outbreak I had looked nothing like what I see on images of genital herpes, but the symptoms of genital herpes outbreak was quite similar.

My partner had a cold sore before the outbreak, and I figure his cold sore could have been HSV 1, where he had possibly transmitted to me through oral sex.

I am still not clear exactly what I have. Any thoughts?

actually your hsv1 is negative too. we don't consider equivocal as being positive.

why did you get tested for herpes? how long prior to this had you last had sex?
