Herpes?

I had an encounter with two new partners around 7 months ago, shortly after developed a burning/tingling sensation in my lips, never seemed to have any obvious sores or blisters, had sti check all back negative. With my worrying I went through a private clinic in the UK and got a blood test for herpes (iGG) via finger prick, as it’s stated that was sufficient size to confirm positive or negative but not full confirmation of positive. I believe the equipment they use is DiaSorin LIAISON Analyser with accuracy in the high 90s.

I had several tests with the final test being 7 months after the encounters, came back negative for bothHSV1/2 with HSv1 0.0989 and Hsv2 below 0.5.

The burning tingling has settled a little bit I do still get it, I have a new partner who doesn’t know I have these issues but recently started complaining that they have burning tingling lips and wondering if it could be herpes the test hadn’t picked up?

Thanks

You've had several tests, all negative. You can believe the tests. If you are having the tingling still, it's being caused by something else, like an allergy to something (lip balm/chap stick, toothpaste, something you are eating/drinking), anxiety, or any number of other things. Continue to work with your doctor to find out what it is, but it isn't herpes, according to your tests.

Thankyou, it was just the fact my partner now has similar symptoms.

Would burning/tingling associated with herpes come and go or be constant? Cheers
It would depend on the person, but it wouldn't last this long and be related to herpes without getting an outbreak. You also have several negative tests, proving it's not herpes. I'm not saying you don't have something else going on, or that your partner doesn't, but it isn't herpes for you.
