Herpes 2 or Balantis?

One week ago I had brief unprotected vaginal sex with my new girlfriend.
2 or 3 days later, i experienced itching on my penis head.
It felt like the onset of a yeast infection. over the next 2 days it got worse, and actually started to hurt a bit, with one area of my foreskin in particular becoming red and swollen.
6 days after having sex, the red area developed into what i would describe as spots. They arent really raised, but look inflamed and have a yellowish centre. I have also noticed a white dsicharge collecting under my foreskin, presumably coming from these spots, they look kind of wet.
I also started to notice that it hurt a little when I had to pee, and that I was needing more freequent urination. things in that region felt a little tender.
So on day 6, I went to the Dr. Unfortunately I didnt have a very satisfactory experience, he examined me, took a swab of the tip of my penis (not the red pimple area) looked at it under a microscope, identified some bacteria and said I had a severe yeast infection, and then tried to sell me a course of antibiotics via a UV drip. This clinic is in Asia, and I cant say I felt completely convinced by his examination. I mentioned herpes, and he said the only way to tell would be to have a blood test, but the signs from his 'test' and his opinion were yeast infection.
I went to a pharmacy explained the symptoms and they gave a me a lot of different pills and antibiotics.

Day 7. woke up..seems like the area is a bit less red, not so tender. still white discharge in the morning. no desire for frequent urination, and pain in the whole area seems to have gone away...
but the weird thing is, my legs ache...I feel like I have been running...actually yesterday I did some manual work, which involved a lot of bending down....so...i really dont know...it seems like my symptoms could be either balantis or herpes....its very confusing,
by the way my girlfriend said she was clean of STD's. After my symptoms she had a urine test and vaginal examination and both came back ok. Although she has never been tested for HSV.

Im not sure of any specific questions, maybe just comments?

Is the sign of reduction in swelling and pain after taking antibiotics a good sign? I gather Herpes wouldnt respond to this treatment? or could it just be that i was given an anti inflammatory...again...due to language barriers im not sure of the exact medication im taking.

If I were to have Herpes this would be from my gf who has no symptoms, and has never had symptoms in the past - is this possible?

would Herpes spots/blisters produce white discharge ( im not sure if they are, but there seems to be white discharge in that area under my foreskin?

visual diagnosis is wrong  about 30% of the time which is why testing is important.  these really don't sound herpes related either. type specific igg blood testing in you both will help you see if you even have to worry about herpes in this relationship or not.

too late now for herpes lesion cultures to be helpful.

you and your gf should follow up on the testing.

Yes I am, and I thought that was making a difference, but from pictures I see online, what I have looks the same as herpes lesions, and my leg pain is weird. I'm really worried

if you and your gf did not cover your bases properly by having full std testing done prior to starting to have unprotected sex, time to do so now. make sure type specific herpes igg blood testing is also included.

are you treating for yeast since that is what you were diagnosed as having?
