Herpes Prodrome

Would the symptoms of herpes prodrome (such as an intermittent stabbing sensation running down the penis) occur within 4 hours of possible exposure to the virus?

Many thanks

Doctor Hansfield says only in Recurrent Infections do you get prodromes. Am I going to have to start a fight with him?? haha

yes you get prodrome like symptoms before the initial ob too ( aches, pains etc ).

If you are still able to contact the person you were with - why not just ask them if they have herpes or have ever been tested for herpes?

thank you.
as in, would there just be an immediate visually noticable breakout within 2-20 days without preemptive pain etc?

You don't get prodromes from an initial infection. Prodromes are found only in recurrent infections...

minimum. the average is about 5 1/2 days but it can occur anywhere from 2- 20 days after infection.

Pain 4 hours after sex just sounds like you had a good time ;)
