What are the transmission rates of hsv1 after the scab has fallen off?

I just got a cold sore on my mouth 8 days ago and on the 7th day the scabs were off. What was left was a rough pink patch. but today, the 8th day, my partner and I had sex penis-vagina and when he was cumming he pulled out and naturally(without thinking) I went to let him *** in my mouth. About 2 seconds passed of him being in my mouth that I remembered maybe I should wait so let him *** the rest on me. What are the chances that he will get Genital HSV1? I am so concerned, I have been reading about herpes all day due to it.

It's possible. There aren't any odds I can give you, though. It depends on how much virus was still present on your skin, if any, or if you were still shedding the virus (this is known as asymptomatic viral shedding), and we have no way of knowing that. It varies from person to person.

Does he have hsv1? I'm assuming you've been kissing him, and he hasn't gotten oral hsv1? He should get a type specific IgG blood test now. If it's positive for type 1, he already has it, and can't get it again. His antibodies will help prevent him from getting it again in a different location.

If it's negative now, he can test again at 4 months to see if he got it.

I wouldn't overly worry about it, honestly. If you've been kissing him throughout your relationship and he hasn't gotten oral hsv1, he may already have it. Over 50% of the adult population has it, and 90% will never have symptoms.

Also, it sounds as if the contact was really brief, and there wasn't friction, like their would be if you were performing oral sex. Friction would increase the chances.

I'm not saying the chances are zero, but I'd be really surprised if this resulted in transmission.
