Herpes and sex please help

I've been on acyclovir twice daily since I found out I had herpes and using condoms every time I have sex with the girl I've been seeing. She's aware of my condition, but I'm still fearful for her. Today we had sex and while putting on the condom I had touched the outside of the condom with the hand that I had touched my penis with. Could I transmit anything to her by touching my penis and then touching the condom after rolling it on?

I haven't had an outbreak in over a month and I haven't noticed and prodrome symptoms of any sort should I be worried??

Regardless of weather or not you touched your partner, there's no safe sex with herpes, only safer sex.  I'm going to assume you have hsv2 genitally and lay down some statistics.

With antiviral therapy , condom use and avoidance of sexual activity while having symptoms, male to female transmission is about as likely as getting pregnant with a condom, around 2 to 4 percent.

It sounds like you're doing the right things and doing everything you can to protect your partner.  What you've described would not put her at a greater or less risk for transmission.  Hope this helps!

Thanks for the info and yes I am positive for HSV-2 I just want to minimize risk of transmission my any means necessary. I know there's not complete full proof way to prevent a possible infection to my partner, but I want to take every step possible to try and prevent it from happening.
Condoms, daily antivirals and no sex during an outbreak. That's all you can do. I'm glad you're thinking of your partner.
