You can request igg only. Unfortunately you can't assume your negative if your number is still in the low positive range. If you end up needing the western blot contact the west overheights clinic in portland. They can help arrange things for you
I would simply get another igg test at this point. If the results are higher than 3.5 then you are positive. If the numeric value is les than 3.5 then you need to seek out the western blot. Not easy in N.Y
New York doesn't do out of state testing and the only place that does the western blot is the university of Washington. I've had people go to Jersey to have the blood drawn.
The western blot is available in NY.
