Herpes infection date

Hello, I am a 53 year old unmarried woman. I have had several sexual encounters that were unprotected so I decided when I had my yearly GYNO checkup I should be checked for any STDs. My test was taken on Dec 13th and the results came back negative, except for the HPV virus. The nurse told me that since I had a hysterectomy 25yrs ago and no cervix, that I should have no worries. She acted like it was no big deal. My herpes tests came back negative. They were IgG Type specific for HSV 1 and 2. I have been with the same two men on and off for several years and have never used a condom with them, so I am assuming they do not have herpes. I was intimate sexually with a man on Jan 22nd and on Jan 26th had an unusual pain as I wiped after using the bathroom. I looked and it looked like a small swollen bump. I was thinking that since I had just shaved my pubic area that it must be an ingrown hair. I squeezed on it thinking I might break the bump so hair would come out. A day or so later a blister appeared on my labia and I am thinking it is healing but also worried that it could be a herpes lesion. It was just one lesion. After looking at internet pictures it was hard to tell because I did not have itching, burning while urinating, clusters or any other symptoms.  On Feb 1st, my groin area felt like it was angry so I went to clinic for a herpes test. The dr looked at the lesion and said, yes...you defineitly have something going on here and it looks like a herpes lesion. She did not take a swab, maybe because there was no pus and the sore had started to heal a bit. I gave more blood for a test and now waiting 2-3 weeks to see if Herpes 1 or 2 are found. She prescibed Valtrex which I started taking immediately. As of today, the sore is still there, but not as painful, as it looks like it is healing, but I have also noticed 2 more lesions since Feb 1st. One very small one on my inner thigh, the other very small too, an inch above the main lesion...both on same side of my labia. Now for my questions...I am so sorry for all this description but you seem very knowledgeable in this area and in reading all about this my lifestyle will def take a new road.
1. Since I was tested negative on Dec 13th, would most likely my 2 relationship men NOT have given me herpes since I was negative?
2. Would the sexual encounter I had on Jan 22nd be the most likely man to have infected me, since my symptoms appeared 3-4 days after that?
3. Do the symptoms I am describing sound like herpes?
4. I shave regularly on my pubic area and did the day before my symptoms, I also took a bath in my jacuzzi. The jacuzzi has been leaving a brown sediment in the tub after draining. Could I have been infected from that after shaving?
5. Could someone who has herpes 1 with no symptoms have given me genital herpes 1 by oral or genital sex?
6. Could the HPV virus flare up my groin area like this?

Sorry, this blog is so long but I feel so uneducated in this. I have had protected and unprotected sex and afterall of this, I can say I will NEVER have unprotected sex again. I am very scared and ashamed of my stupidity... I hope someone can help with these questions. Take care all!

Thank you Grace for your answers and suggestions on my post. I have already contacted my January partner and he has been tested on the 7th of Feb, so will have to wait for results. IMy results should be in about Feb 16th. I took the prescription Valtrex for 3 days, but decided to get off of it and see if the lesions reappear before my tests results. The sores have been gone for almost a week and a half now and I feel so completely normal. It was so weird how the symptoms came so suddenly and I had no other symptoms described like painful urination, itching, flu like symptoms. I am praying and trying to be confident in that the results will turn out negative again. Even so...I will get another in 4 months as you suggest. They did not test me for bacteria infections, I wish I had gone to my GYN instead of clinic but wanted to get in for appt ASAP.. Thanks again Grace for your expertise, I am very grateful that there is a place to share these experiences....

Any chance you can get your partner from january to test for herpes to see what his status is?

you need to wait at least 3 months after the last time you had sex in order for your blood tests to be the  most accurate. It's really unfortunate that the provider didn't try to get a lesion culture for you :(

The hpv infection you have on your cervix is different from the types of hpv that cause external warts. What you describe doesn't sound like it's a wart either.

did they test you for bacterial infections vaginally when you were seen?
