Herpes or folliculitis?

Amount a month ago I had protected sex with a random guy, about 2 days after I came up in a red rash on my mon pubis, with the area slightly raised and itchy, within 2 days or say it cleared up but I was left with one spot that looked like a whitehead, that then cleared up within 2 days or so and then I got another whitehead on my bikini line which stayed for like a week, both were painful and itchy. Both of the spots you could see a hair sticking out of when examined closely, went to the doctor and she said I had a shaving infection, she diagnosed it just by looking it and when I asked if it could be an STI she sounded pretty adamant that it wasn't. She gave me antibiotics, the infection cleared up. I then got thrush from taking the antibiotics, took pessaries which stopped vaginal itching but my labia is still red, swollen and itchy (no lesions on labia).

However, yesterday my bum was itching a bit so I itched it and found another whitehead on my bum near my vagina, I took a picture of it because I couldn't see it properly  and there's a visible long hair sticking out the middle of the whitehead. From yesterday it seems to have gotten bigger and the area around it is only slightly red, it's not painful but it does itch. I was expecting something to come up in that area because for about 2 weeks there's been a little red spot there that slightly itched (not visible to the eye but could feel it). I got tested for STI's and came back all negative, I asked the dr about the little spot I could feel, he looked and said there's nothing there.. But there obviously was because it has turned into a whitehead now. I'm worried that I could have herpes or something.. I haven't shaved down there since the shaving infection (a month ago) so how could I have folliculitis? I would go to the dr but it's a weekend and then it's New Years so the soonest I'll be able to get into a doctor is in about 4 days in which I'm worried it would have cleared up by then. I'm worried, as my labia is red, swollen and itchy too.

Any insight would be helpful..

It sounds more like folliculitis because of the hair in the center as well as the clearing brought on by the antibiotic. Folliculitis is not necessarily brought on by shaving. I have flare ups in areas that have never been shaved. Sometimes tweezing the hair from the center helps if you can get it from the root. They say tea tree oil has natural antibacterial, antifungal, antiseptic, and antiviral qualities. I just starting adding 100% tea tree oil to my wash. I also found L-Lysine to be beneficial when taken internally on a daily basis.

protected sex is a risk for syphilis, herpes and hpv.  It was too early to test for syphilis and herpes since the encounter was only a month ago.   I'm guessing you are outside of the US too which means you probably won't get herpes testing at all anyways.

certainly continue to avoid shaving at this point until it's all cleared up. You don't want to risk spreading a bacterial skin infection to more places.

when you can be seen again, be sure to get tested for yeast and bacterial infections vaginally again too.

does this sound like you have contracted herpes and it's causing you this many issues in so many places? no it does not.
