Herpes or infected hair follicle?

I just want to know what the fluid inside a herpes blister and an ordinary hair follicle infection/ingrown hair looks like. Is there a difference?

Hi herpes sores are clear filled liquid and for the most part other sores like hair folicales have a white puss filled center.
