Herpes or not?

I had unprotected sex. A one night stand. I did shave in the area prior to event. Few days later i experienced burning down both my thighs and none in the genital region. This burning may have responded to lomotrin and steroid cream after 1 use. Maybe 2 days after my sore appeared it resolved . 8 days after the encounter i developed what appeard to be a single gray elevated bump with red base on the back of my scrotum. It was only painful to aggressive  touch. I popped it which was semi difficult. It bleed slightly and appeared to be ulcer like when i popped it. It heald within the next 3 or 4 days. There appeared to be some white dry sking around the edges as it was healing. No scabbing.  The area is still semi painful when i press hard in the area (9 days after first appearance) stinging pain. No lesion that i can see. The skin there does appear to be dry and red with white flakes, but this comes and goes and may be due to lots of manipulation of the area to inspect. Thoughts? I know its a rare location, and atypical presentation but not sure what else could be. It was near other hair follicles but i am pretty sure there was no hair follicle associated with it. I do have fordyce spots if that makes a difference.

Hi what your describing does not suggest a recent herpes infection at all. Wrong area and wrong color of the blister

I am going to get tested. Yes I agree with both statements  it did not look like traditional  herpes but my  concerns are 1. Ulcer looking after i picked at it. 2. The white dry skin while it was healing 3. The timeline 4.  Pus filled after picking at it. Finally what else could explain it? Only thing i can think of is folliculits from shaving right before the act (which would put me at higher risk as well). Then again it didnt look like trad folliculitis and i didnt not see a hair follicle assoc with it but there are few near the area( its at the edge where the hairline of the scrotum ends)

After i popped the sore a day or two later it came to a white head. And then white head popped on its own.
