Herpes or nothing to worry about?

Hey everyone, thanks for taking the time to read this. I am a gay male and I shaved my pubic hair awhile ago, and almost all of the razor bumps are gone and a good amount of hair has grown back; however; this is one bump that hasn't gone away. It somewhat itches and hurts, and is small. I popped it and some clear liquid came out. There was a hair lying underneath the bump (the follice being to the very left side of the bump) and it didn't seem to be growing into my skin, it was just underneath the bump waiting to be free. Does this sound like herpes or just an ingrown hair? It did NOT make that volcano like bump that the pictures on google of ingrown hairs have. Also, this never crusted over, but it did have dead skin on top of it, almost like peeling off.

This was the only bump, it wasn't clustery like that of typical herpes. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Best regards to all... :)

really nothing else I can add at this time. follow up as already recommended.  I'd just totally be guessing at this point.

Also, I felt a sharp burning/hurt pain where the bump is, but only once. It doesn't look any of the herpes pictures online.

Sorry, but you seem to know a lot about herpes Grace. I appreciate all of your input.

1) What worries me is the clear fluid. Can ingrown hairs/infected follicles have clear pus/fluid as well?

2) Is it true herpes lesions/blisters only have clear pus and not white/yellow??

Thank you Grace, but based on my explanation of this bump, you would beg to reason it's not herpes??

usually just stinging and nothing else isn't herpes.

you have to wait until 3 months post encounter to get type specific herpes igg blood testing done.

Thank you :) another question, if I had a possible exposure to herpes, and 2 days later my genitals sting a bit, is that sign of infection...like they sting but no bumps/sores/blisters ever appear?

if it's gone, not much you can do about it. should it reoccur, be seen promptly for proper evaluation.

toss the razor/change the razor blade you were using in case it's a bacterial infection.

I had it probably for about 3-4 days before I popped it, and it has been 2 days since then and it i almost completely gone now.

you didn't mention how long it's been there but I'm going to assume it has been a few weeks from your post?

odds are this isn't herpes related. see your provider if you are concerned.
