Herpes or other STD?

Hi...just to give some background, I'm a 30 year old male with 1 long time sex partner until 5 weeks ago when I had a 1 night stand and put myself at risk of contracting a STD due to unprotected sex.  I've been having ongoing symptoms since the incident and I've visited the hospital once after the incident and my family doc 3 times since then.
Symptoms:
- clear, sticky discharge usually after urinating in the morning and after getting a shower.  Some spots have showed up on my underwear at random times as well.  I had cloudy, watery discharge once (to my knowledge).
- discomfort in penis.  I originally thought it was in my urethra, but I didn't have any burning or stinging, just discomfort and irritation so upon further inspection I found 2 small, white papules under my glans and tucked under the side of my frenulum that seems to be causing the issues.
- about 10 days ago 3 spots appeared on my pubic area above the base of my penis.  They weren't grouped together...they were separated by about an inch.  I was immediately paranoid they were herpes lesions, but my family doc did a physical exam and said they were not herpes.
- foreskin was slightly swollen for about 3 weeks, but has subsided.
- sometimes when I pull back my foreskin there is a red ring where it meets the edge of my glans.
- stomach feels unwell some of the time.
- I had intermittent tingling in my left ankle for about 3 days in a row and has just stopped yesterday.
- sporadic discomfort in testicles
- discomfort in neck, although glands don't appear to be swollen.

Testing:
Routine, gonorrhea and chlamydia urine tests came back negative.
HIV, syphilis, and Hep blood tests came back negative.
2nd routine urine test came back negative
Last week I did another gonorrhea and chlamydia urine test, along with 3 swabs for gonorrhea, chlamydia and herpes so I'm awaiting the results of those.

Medication:
I've taken doxycycline for 7 days, cipro for 7 days, and single doses of suprax and azithromycin.

The only relief I've had was about 3 days after I took the suprax dose and started the doxycycline.  I felt really good for 2 days, then symptoms returned.  Was that just a coincidence?

I'm not really sure what to do at this point.  I'm really paranoid that I have herpes and that I'm going to pass it on to my wife if I start having sex with her again.  Even if test results come back negative later this week I'm still going to think I have something.

Could it be herpes?  Fungal infection?  skin issue?  are these signs of a bacterial infection?  should I be treating it with anything right now?

Thank you.

Further to my last post it has been almost 10 weeks now since the encounter and I don't have any answers.  Some symptoms have remained (clear discharge after urination in the morning, some anal irritation, irritated meatus, mild nausea) and some new ones have appeared - It was painful to urinate this morning and I've never felt that before. Also, I noticed a small flesh coloured bump on my foreskin, close to underside of penis shaft. I was worried it was a genital wart at first but then I considered the fact it could be a skin tag. I actually nipped it between my finger and thumb nails and plucked it off (probably not recommended) and it just bled a little but seems to be fine.

Can anyone suggest what might be wrong with me?  I'm an taking a second dose of doxycycline and I'm awaiting results for HSV1and 2 blood tests along with a urethral swab and trichomoniasis test. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Could be your normal mucus and your constant checking is causing the irritaion.

Also...I had a manual prostate check and the doctor said everything was normal aside from some redness in my rectum.

It's now been another 2 weeks and I'm still having symptoms, mainly clear, sticky discharge after urination in the morning and an irritated, sensitive meatus.  Some redness on the front of my scrotum as well.

The gonnorhea/chlamydia urine test and swab came back negative and the HSV swabs came back negative.

I've been seeing my family doctor, but I feel like I should be referred to a urologist so I can get some answers. My family doc didn't order HSV blood test because the lab can't distinguish between HSV 1 and 2 and he said 80% of people have HSV 1 anyway.

I've been stressing a lot about this mainly because my wife doesn't know. I would tell her if I knew I had something, but I don't have any answers.

Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks

Hi also, the prostate exam would see if its enlarged as could be infected. The reason being is that you mention the discharge is after you urinate not before that means IF you have an infection, it would be before the urethra as urethra infections would have the discharge before you urinate..

All men have a clear discharge if you milk the penis so dont confuse clear discharge with the mucus you already have in your urethra. If you feel the discharge is bacterial then have it swabbed and a culture performed, maybe a PCR. Test at the times Grace mentions before being intimate with your wife.

Thanks, Grace. The doctor did not manually check my prostate. Should I request that?

Is there any explanation for the clear discharge?  This has been occurring since the encounter. Urine tests have came back negative.

you have to wait at least 6 weeks post encounter for syphilis testing to be accurate. 3 months for herpes, hiv and hepatitis testing to be accurate.

most of your symptoms sound like anxiety and probably fungal over growth due to all the antibiotics you have been given.  You probably would benefit from a probiotic like culturelle to restore your normal flora in your bowels as well as I'd go with an antifungal powder to the groin area twice a day for a week.

did they manually check your prostate to see if it's enlarged?

does this sound like herpes? no it does not.
