at this point, you should be following up regularly with a dermatologist for these symptoms.
herpes symptoms won't cause non-stop issues for this long either.
dry skin around the mouth can be caused by many things including the chewing gum you use, chap sticks/lip gloss/lip sticks and the toothpaste you use. irritation from chemicals can cause tingling too.
folliculitis is caused by bacteria. if you are having issues in the thigh area and facial area, time for you and the dermatologist to work on a better plan for controlling it together!
bets of luck!!
You would expect a lesion to develop after the burning. This doesn't sound like herpes. Maybe just chapped lips or something along those lines. Your negative tests are conclusive so if I were you I'd drop the herpes situation and move on. Life's too short to worry!
Would herpes look like dry skin around the corner of the mouth? The right corner of my mouth has been hurting a great deal and it has been burning around the area about an inch in diameter. It has been hurting for about a week and a half but no herpetic-looking sores.
But would it be likely to have nerve damage in both my face and thighs if there was no injury? And would dry skin potentially cause prodrome-like characteristics? Thanks so much for your help.
