Herpes transmission

Im really worried and confused about herpes, 4 weeks ago I got my first HSV 1 oral outbreak, I think I might have infected my boyfriend by kissing him while having the outbreak, one week after my outbreak we had sex and he used his saliva to lubricate his genitals, he didnt have any cold sores on his mouth or even a first outbreak yet. Is it possible that I can get HSV 1 genitally this way?. I havent had any symptoms besides lower back burning on the left side that went away by its own, its been 2 weeks since the sexual contatact happened.

Up to half of the people who carry the virus have no living memory of an outbreak. If you have HSV1, then what would have happened is that another virus or illness has caused you to be 'run down' and allowed an outbreak to occur.

Infection occurs where a sensitive skin area such as the lips comes into contact and rubs firmly against a sore or area that happens to be shedding the virus.

I never had a cold sore in my life, I had a pretty bad oral outbreak were my neck lymph nodes got really swollen and i had a sore throat, my concern is whether I can still get HSV 1 down there because my body hasn't had enough time to create antibodies. I got a IGg specific test and the doctor told me that i probably had the virus for quite a while and i was having my first outbrea and Can saliva trasmit the virus?

Herpes just doesn't 'appear'. Either you have had HSV1 most of your life (most likely explanation) or were just infected by your partner (unlikely as you'd have a bad outbreak not a single sore that I'm guessing occurred here.

Assuming you have had HSV1 a long time, you will not become infected genitally readily and certainly not indirectly from your own infection.

It is also quite possible he has HSV1 too, which means neither of you have any concerns about further infection.
