Herpes type 2 leg pain

Hello. I was diagnosed with HSV2 back in April. As yet I haven't had any classic outbreak symptoms such as blisters or sores. I have had ongoing headaches that are quite debilitating sometimes and kind of an ongoing feeling of unwellness. I have also had a stinging sensation in my urethra, I was diagnosed with prostatitis years ago and it feels very much like that. About 5 weeks ago after a long flight my left thigh started to hurt, I put it down to be sat down for a long time and tight hamstrings but it continued and got worse. I looked up about HSV2 symptoms and sure enough found this thread and more. I saw my Sexual Health Doc and he said he hadnt heard of such symptoms without a rash. I started taking valtrex and after a few days the pain went away. I saw him again and again he said that it was unrelated to HSV2 and suggested I stop taking Valtrex so i did. Sure enough the pain came back after 2 days.
So can I draw the conclusion that the pain is HSV2 related? And two is it normal to have the pain for so long? (ie 4-5 weeks).

I have now stopped the antivirals and the leg pain has come back. So its now since the beginning of august. Both times it started after a 3plus hour flight so I am hoping that it was that which started it...I am 6'2'' so its always rather cramped. The bad headaches also reappeared today...so about 3 days after finishing the antivirals. I dont seem to have any other signs of an OB...but would love some re-assurance from somewhere. I knw the doc said he thought it was unrelated but it just seems strange that the pain goes away when taking the antivirals and comes back when I stop....any thoughts anyone??

I am taking the antivirals and the pain has gone away again. I will go for another test in a week. Do antivirals impact the results?

Ok. Lwg pain in the absence of an outbreak is rare but it isn't impossible

Many thanks. Still no signs of an outbreak. My doc said the leg pain also wasn't HSV2. His answer to  my question..."Your pain was not in a dermatomal distribution and does not correspond to any rashes"
I do feel generally unwell though...feel like a head cold and slightly sore throat. This feeling has been going on for months. I have had separate blood tests and nothing showed...could it be my immune systeme fighting HSV2 constantly?
