How do I tell her.

I was diagnosed with HSV2 over 12 yrs ago and my X wife of 11 yrs has never contracted HSV2 from our unprotected sex oral or vaginal sex. I've never had an outbreak since my first diagnosis.although I have a small growth looking like a mole at the base of my penis .
I had had a sexual encounter over the weekend and I didn't let her know of my situation. The Condom  broke and I didn't  realize until the end.

I have two questions.

1.Is there a chance she might contract HSV2 from this encounter.

2. How do I tell her about my HSV2, and should she get tested?

Help please..I'm stressed..

How has it been confirmed that you have genital HSV2? It sounds more like genital HSV1 given the one outbreak and non infection over 11 years for example.
The mole thing is not related to herpes.

I hear ya. It can be difficult.  You may want to get a type specific igg blood test to confirm.  The old test may have been an igm which are not accurate.

Hey, thats great to know..I am going to discuss  with her very soon, just nervous, haven't been with any woman since my wife almost 2 yrs ago and the Condom broke..

.. I am not sure what exactly test she did... I know my Dr did a blood draw and that was it..she put me on hpv medication to help reduce outbreaks and all I've had is mild itching and tingling sensation around the area. No sores..

Contracting hsv from any single expossure is about 1 in a 1000. As you know by 11 years of marriage hsv is not as easy to transmit as people think. Just be honest with her. Her risk was very very small. Almost none.
Hope this helps
By the way. Hoe where you diagnosed?
