How long for blisters to fill with fluid?

Hi everyone,

Straight forward enough question.

I have had small red "dots" near glans of my penis for 5 full days now. The spots are small, slightly raised - absolutely NOT painful and I have been researching if this could be a sign of herpes.

HOWEVER, today I have read that the spots would fill with fluid "probably" within a few hours of appearing were it herpes, as this has definitely not happened.

While I understand it is not definitive for everyone, can someone tell me if this is correct and more likely I am looking at a thrush breakout. Also, the tingling has disappeared for one or two days and returned (although spots stayed).

I am on vacation skiing abroad with little opportunity to visit a GUM clinic to determine definite answer.

Many thanks!

definately not herpes, the lesions are very painful and almost have a heart beat, you feel pulsing come and go until they break open and then scab over. Have fun skiing, don't tell everyone you just won the lotto if you haven't even bought a ticket lol! get what I'm saying!

Thank you so much for your response. It has put my mind at ease so much. I only wish I'd done it days ago in order to be able to enjoy my vacation.

I will go straight to my GUM clinic anyway when I get home in order to put a definite end to this, however I've been on many anti-biotics recently due to poor health and so I understand that can leave you more prone to yeast infections.

This does not at all sound like herpes; herpes lesions will change almost day by day.

If fungal, you could try an OTC medication to see if that works. Otherwise, you would need to be seen if concerned.

Also, they don't appear to be "clustering" - just 3 or 4 noticible red dots scattered about the head of my penis, two particularly near the glans.
