How to prevent HSV Herpes transmission while trying to be safe?

I've recently started dating someone with HSV (not sure yet which strain). He had his first outbreak about six months ago and has not had another since. He is on daily suppressive therapy with Valtrex. While we've been very careful (in my view), our chests and waists have touched with our shirts off (and my panties and his boxer shorts on). Our thighs have also grazed each other, and my thigh area maybe have briefly grazed his approximate groin area (only for a split-second), when I was straddling his legs giving him manual pleasure (the only thing I've felt comfortable doing). I gave him this hand job, then washed my hands immediately afterward. But I also realized I had a scabbed over small cut on my palm (really a pinch from my curling iron) later. Now, I'm kind of freaking out that I could have contracted something from asymptomatic shedding. I don't want to go overboard with worry, but should I avoid all further contact with his waist (our bodies touching with shirts off) and thighs? What if they press up against each other in bed accidentally sometime during the night when I'm unaware? Is it this dangerous for me to contract it? I do not want to treat him like a leper. I feel bad enough as it is being so overly careful and concerned, but from what I'm reading, I haven't been safe enough. I only started dating him in the last month, so opportunities for contact have been very low, but what should I do? I know I don't love him yet. I cannot be intimate. Should I just break up with him? Is it possible I'm already infected now? Any advice is very appreciated. Thank you.

Would you like to somebody play with your Feelings?

Im sure you don't, So break with him if you not sure of your feeling for him.  There nothing sure yet about Herpes 30 years ago when I was a teacher of science and Health to my 7 grade student they said if you have sex without any blister you don't get Herpes, Now 30 year later they are saying even without no outbreak you got infected.
If you wan to enjoy your life you need to take precautions using the condom to avoid problem.

The problem right now is that FDA does not want you to know if you still have the virus.  They did not approve any test for you to know that you are cure.  So the only test is antibodies that will died with you.  So you going to be positive all your life even if you get cure.

I truly believe that this can be cure.  If they get the same result with HIV why Herpes can not be eradicated.

I you like this boy, enjoy it, If you get infected well was your choice and you enjoy your life.  Ad the end is nothing that you going to died from it.  Recommend him to put CINAMON POWDER in the affected area as soon he get the first signal that one outbreak is coming.

I think you should value him because He told you at front that he has Herpes.

God Bless You!!
