Hsv2 Risk of transmission to new prospective partner

Hi I was diagnosed with hsv2 genital herpes about 13 years ago. I have not had any major outbreaks since the first one and and one or 2 small ones that clear up right away every few years.I am also have been taking famvircyclor since infected twice a day. I have been with the same partner since then but recently have been talking to someone new have not done and sexual contact yet or even kissed because I'm worried that If I kissed them I would pass herpes through my saliva even though I don't have oral herpes.

My question is that is it at least safe to kiss them or can my genital herpes infection spread to them through my saliva. I've never had any mouth outbreak only genital. Also is there a risk of transmission from my saliva if I performed oral sex on them or using my finger. my clothes would remain on was just concerned if I'm putting them at risk in these situations.

You are only contagious from the site of your infection. Since you have genital herpes, you are only infectious from your genitals.

You can kiss, give oral sex, etc., safely without transmitting hsv2.

However, if you also have oral hsv1, you can transmit that. You can have both, and most people who have oral hsv1 don't have symptoms.
