Dear sir, I am 23 years old male. I did biggest mistake of my life. 37 days ago, I had oral and vaginal sex with escort in paris.It was with condom. i think she was brazilian. It was my first sex experience in life. She changed the condom after oral sex. It was the new condom for vaginal sex. But after vaginal sex I did not verify carefully whether condom was broken or not. it was the dim light there. I went to STD specialist after 12 and 19 days. they said me that there is no any symptom of STD on body. I did test for chlamydia, gonorrhea, UTI, syphillis (syphilis) and herpes (EIA- diasorin herpes 1 and 2 Igg and Igm) after 21 days. all came negative I did HIV combo test after 28 days it came negative. two days before STD specialist checked penis and said there is no problem. But since two days I have quite red eyes than normal, quite heavy feeling at outer corner of left eye. sometimes watery eyes. But Dr.Jose in expert forum told me that there is no symptom related to ocular herpes. I don't have any visible genital herpes. No any sores in or around mouth. but i read on internet that there are no visible symptoms of herpes sometimes. But im still freaking out because of the herpes as window period for it is 12 weeks.
1. Oral herpes appear after how many days after exposure?
2. What percentage of risk do I have of getting infected with Herpes?
2. Should I take same herpes test (Igg and Igm) after 6 or 8 weeks for peace of mind?

dr. Jose: YOUR EYE SYMPTOMS ARE NOT CONSISTENT WITH OCULAR HERPES.  IF YOU HAD CONTRACTED GENITAL HERPES THROUGH SEXUAL INTERCOURSE, THE SYMPTOMS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED AROUND YOUR GENITAL AREA, WITH PAINFUL BLISTERS, USUALLY AFTER 2-3 WEEKS.
me: If I am infected with herpes, the first outbreak after 36 days possible? ( herpes outbreak after how many days?)
dr. Jose: YES, IT IS POSSIBLE.

Now my concern is im confused. does oral and genital herpes occurs within 2-3 weeks after exposure and not after that? when should i test for peace of mind ? i can't wait for 12 weeks. i am having fear.

if you had contracted hsv2 genitally from protected sex, you might not notice your initial symptoms and only notice recurrences. I think that is what he was referring to in his reply to you.  

genital herpes was your risk and it wouldn't cause eye symptoms. odds are this is something viral, non -std related that you've recently been exposed to.

thanks a lot for your answer! i am going to test for syphilis on tuesday which is 6 weeks after exposure. I read that genital and oral herpes appear within 4 weeks after exposure and but why dr. Jose told me that herpes outbreak can be after 36 days also. I am confused. why it is like this? please help me.

absolutely no reason to think this is herpes related from your encounter.

be seen by your doctor for a proper exam to get accurate answers so you can stop worrying like this!!

protected oral sex is no risk for std's.

protected vaginal sex is a small risk for hpv, herpes and syphilis. you can test for syphilis after 6 weeks if concerned.  you've had no symptoms of herpes so if your initial herpes igg blood test was negative, no reason to repeat it .
