I have sores on my genital area. Could this only be herpes??

Dr.,On dec 20, i had a single cut at the end of my vaginal opening and no other symptoms like itching or redness or swelling.. Two days later i started having more sores and it kind of burned. I did mot have bumps.. On 23rd i went to doctor and ahe gave me antibiotics..it did not do any good and day after day i started having more sores. 22nd onwards i started having smelly vaginal discharge too amd it was so thick and slight green in colour. On 25th i went to another dr and she gave me antiviral medicines and told that it lookeD like herpes. But apart from sores and buring urination i did not have flu like sympotoms all. The medicines stopped sores from appearing and within 3 days itstarted to heal. But it did not form crust like and i could see the sore but i cannot feel it. It is numb. Can it be something else? And i am in a monogamous relationship fr past 2 yrs and before that we botg were virgins. So i doubt i might have herpes. My CBC report was normal and urine had blood in it. I also have fungal patches like in my body from time to time. I need help and advice. Thankyou

Sure, it could be something else, but you need to have the sores swabbed and pcr tested if they show up again. You may want to get an IgG type-specific test done right now for a baseline result and then get another IgG type-specific done in about 10 weeks to see if the result changes.

If this were a primary herpes outbreak, I am a little skeptical it would have cleared up so fast.

Even though you and your partner were virgins and monogamous, your partner could have oral hsv1 and infected you through oral sex. If there was no oral sex and you were both virgins and monogamous, then this was a not a herpes outbreak.
