I think I may have caught herpes

Hi guys/gals, I am on vacation right now, and I made the stupidest mistake. I got drunk two days ago and had protected sex vaginal and unprotected oral with a female. The female looked like she had a cold sore under her right lower lip. I made out with while being drunk out of my mind, I asked her if she had herpes, she's like my lip Is just burned from the sun and by swimming in the salt water. she said she had it for 2 days or do.

I dunno, maybe this is all in my head, but, I'm itching all over my body.. This morning I seen her and it def looked like a cold sore ready to pop.

My question is, what are my chances of catching it, just from a one time exposure to my genitals as we as oral. I haven't been tested for hsv1 or hsv2 in the past, but, once I go home on Sunday I will.

Thanks for replying in advance and only serious answers please! I know I messed up, and I can't take back the past, so let's move on with the future.

really no way to know at this point. about half of folks will test + within 2 weeks of infection.

Thank you very much. So, I will go get tested first. Now, if I test positive after I do testing on Sunday, does it mean I got it Hsv1 from this exposure, or from the past?

if you have hsv1 orally, it's low risk that you'd contract hsv1 genitally even if you've never had any obvious cold sores orally.

Ok, I'll go get tested! So the chances of her giving me genital herpes is high then I'm guessing?! Since she did have a blister on her lower lip.

But, since most of the population already has oral hsv1, what are the chances she transferred it to my genitals, as she did have a out break.. Even let's just say I have hsv1?

herpes is transmitted during direct skin on skin contact. Her kissing you in a pool wouldn't protect you orally. you being in a pool after oral sex was performed wouldn't reduce risk either.

it's being sexually responsible to be periodically tested for herpes. You should be tested at some point to know your own status.

No, like I've mentioned before, I have never been tested.

Well, I'll just have to wait and see.. Very minor inch down there, but, that can just be my mind... Also, I forgot to mention we were in the pool when this happened, except for the sex, any chance chlorine might have helped a little?

a 2 day old cold sore is still shedding virus and unfortunately it is a decent risk if you don't already have hsv1 yourself. have you ever been tested for herpes before?
