Information overload; symptoms and respective timeline

Hello all, I'm trying to figure the waiting time and internet sources are all over the place in regards to incubation for initial onset of HSV2 symptoms. I usually go by CDC 2-12 days avg 4 days but some say more and others say less. I know the doctors said within a week if no presentation of classical symptoms to likely rule out infection but what do you all think?

Most people that show symptoms will do so within 3-7 days. It's uncommon, but some people may take 10-14 days and very rarely up to 21 days.
