Is this Genital Herpes? HPV?

I have had two IGG tests for herpes in the last 1.5 years (I get tested for everything). Both show NEGATIVE for HSV1 and HSV2. In fact I had NEGATIVE results last month. I have not had any sexual contact during that time with anyone except for one woman (my gf) who is a doctor and showed me her negative tests results.

Yet I get a recurring small blister at the base of my penis shaft. It seems to occur when the skin is very dry and rough. It is red and shiny and about the size of a pen tip. It doesn't hurt and the only annoyance is there is light itching at times. Yesterday it looked like there were two spots like that.

My doctor said it looked like a fungus to him, but the blisters I am talking about were not there then.

I work out a lot, walk a lot and I am in the heat a lot. Plus I take really hot and long showers. Not sure if those two things have an effect on it or not. Recently I had a fungal infection on my feet.

The blisters looked like eczema blisters to me, or like what you might get on your hands in the winter if they get wet and then they dry out and crack.

Does this sound like anything serious? Should I go get tested again? Could it be HPV?

The doctor basically told me an HPV sore would be obvious.

I have OCD, so hopefully it is just OCD. lol

Blisters aren't HPV (that's warts - herpes is HSV), and while it could be herpes, it could also easily be fungal or eczema. The best thing to do is to let your doctor see the blister and have it cultured.

I know it's easy for me to say as I'm not the one with the symptoms or OCD, but try really hard to not worry about this. You have good reasons for it to be fungal, so just get it checked. :)

Also, your risks for herpes are pretty much non-existent, right? Your gf is negative, you were negative last month. So just get this checked. If it's fungal or eczema, there are treatments. :)
Thank and yes your are right. I have had this little bump/blister/spot/whatever it is come and go for a while. It always seems to show up when it's dry and itchy in the region. It's so small and inconspicuous that I would probably have to point it out even to a doctor.

In fact, I had it 6  months ago, prior to my last herpes test. My doctor GF was not worried by it at all and she said it seemed to be related to dry skin.

I just hate to keep getting tested and looked at because I feel like if it's not this bump, it will be another for me to worry about. Logically I know it's not herpes, and if this was my version of herpes, it would be beyond a non issue. The bump itself doesn't even itch and you REALLY have to look for it.

Plus my doctor told me last month it looked like the fungus had hit my groin area a bit. Even though he didn't see this spot/bump/whatever.

The spot is already starting to disappear after a few days. I put carmex in the area (yes I know it's crazy lol) but carmex helps my dry skin like nothing else. It seems to be clearing the dry skin up really well.

Thank you for your time and help.
Well, I'm glad something is helping lol. :)
