Just tested positive for Herpes

My lab results just came. Tested positive for hsv 1 and 2 IGG (25.20). IGM is negative.

Can anyone please tell what does it mean for me and my life now? I feel lost. :(

And my last exposure was 3 months ago. Can igm antibodies show up so late after the exposure?

My report came and it is confusing like hell. See my hsv 1 and 2 combo test was negative for igm but positive for igg. Now my hsv2 standalone test is negative for igg and positive for igm with a value of 2.02.

What to make of this??? How can igm be negative in a combo test but turnout to be positive in a specific test??

Does it mean that I am positive for hsv1 igg and positive for hsv2 igm??? Even if it is so then why didn't the positive igm result show in my combo test??

Any explanation will be most welcome.

Went to the doc. He says nothing to worry because "it's no big deal". He says no further testing is required. However I have given a sample for HSV 2 igg and IGM test. If it's negative then I have HSV 1 and if it's positive then I have hsv 2. It's that simple right? I mean can it be so that I have both hsv 1 and hsv 2??

Sorry for excessive posting. It's just that I am terrified right now. Have to go to my brother's wedding in an hour. Don't know how will I hold up myself there. :(
