Kissing and herpes

  
Can herpes virus (l&ll) be transmitted through kissing (deep open mouth kissing)a stranger guy IF there was no visible sores and blisters??
The guy stated that he sometimes has cold sores on his lips especially in winter times but there wasnt any at the time we kissed

no but i'm hsv-1 postive and never had a cold sore before so wondering how did i get it and if it's possible that i can trasmit it to someone else even if i dont have symptoms

have you ever been tested for herpes to know your own status?

genital herpes won't be transmitted through kissing someone, only oral herpes can be.
