Did you ever figure this out? HSV testing is apparently not reliable short of a western blot or PCR swab.
Did your symptoms clear up? I am having same symptoms of irritated urethra and swollen meatus. Please let me know!
I agree with Fleetwood on the fact that I doubt very much this is due to anticipate std. You can test again for hsv as you are correct 1 month is to soon for a conclusive result.
Have you had a urologist take a look at the urethra opening?
Have had my prostate checked and an MRI, both showing nothing. I recently realized my test was at 1 month after possible exposure, must have seemed longer. Should I be tested again?
Still extreme pain sitting, penis hole is almost always swollen, sometimes sensitive to touch clothing. Still no pain urinating.
If you don't recommend HSV testing, are there any other tests you could suggest? At my wits end here.
No, these symptoms are extremely common and been with us since the dawn of time. The most common causes include:
- genitally focused anxiety
- nerve issues, including injury and entrapment within the pelvic region
- back issues
- bladder, kidney and prostate...
There are so many possibilities.
It seems like this symptom is coming up more and more on this forum. Could this be some sort of new virus/bacteria?
This makes sense after reading a couple articles. I appreciate your responses.
A herpes test at 3 months is conclusive. Your symptoms are not related to herpes at all. So that part is easy.
The deep burning sounds stress related or nerve related in the sense of trapped nerve in your pelvis or even back issue. You probably have what is known as prostadynia.
Ty for reply.
Burn hard to describe, kind of like rope burn. Feels deep. Sitting is almost unbearable.
Same female partner since around June of 2014, always with condom. Before, no activity for over a year.
Not sure I've been tested for micropayment bacteria - is that with blood or urine? Urologist looked at urine, have had no blood tests since herpes at 6 weeks after encounter.
My testicles are a deep red color, but a stripe of regular colored skin in the middle. They are in no pain.
What is your reasoning for ruling out herpes?
Well you can rule out herpes. You can actually rule out most known STDs and STIs as well. I really do not think this has a lot to do with the oral sex. What other sexual activity have you had before and since April 2014?
What tests for micoplasma bacteria have you had?
Can you describe the burn. Does it feel 'deep' or on the skin's surface? Its it like fire or pins?
