Multiple symptoms, multiple concerns

Grace:  Five weeks ago I had a high risk encounter.  It was unprotected insertive anal at a gay bath.  Obviously, much guilt plays on my mind and I do consider that as I gauge symptoms.   It's the only episode of concern.  Seven days after possible exposure, I first experienced unexplained back ache.  Within a few hours I had right butt check pain, right calf and ankle ache.  The next day I had a mild fever, very mild, still functioned normally.  It went away after two day.  I also experience what I think is "swollen" lymph nodes in my neck.  That's always been vague for me to determine. Four weeks after possible exposure, after showeringI looked and I thought I saw white pimples at the opening of the urethra, but it either opened quickly or it was something else.  I say that because nothing hurt or was sore to the touch.  On and off for 4 weeks I'm having weird "electrical" sensations in the toes on my right foot, continued right butt pain, weak ankle, high frequency of urination, burning feelings on the right side of my penis or testicles, dulling achy feelings in my testicles or penis, on again off again minor itchy in genitals.  Today, five weeks post exposure, four weeks after symptoms began, I have a pronounced, persistent twitch in my right butt check.  I've not noticed blisters or sores.
I look get a blood test in two weeks as that will be seven weeks post possible exposure.  I think that's about 70% valid.  I am HSV 1 positive, probably since childhood, so that might be why I see no sores.  However, I do take regular and consistent prednisone for asthma so I also thought sores would be evident.  My last HSV test was Dec 2011 and it was negative.  Outside of this event, I've had no contact concerns since then.
I know you can't diagnosis based on symptoms or an online posts, but would such symptoms without overt sores be possible?  Also, should sores be present, wouldn't there be some degree of discomfort from them?  Finally, based upon your experience, would systemic symptoms last for four weeks?

be seen every time you have symptoms to try to find out what is going on. no need to just wait for blood testing times. make sense?

6 1/2 week HSV 2 test is negative.  I know it's not the final, but I'll take good news at every step I can get it.  Posting for those who read with interest.  Grace, you are a wealth of knowledge.  I was sure, but you knew better.  Thanks for your contribution to those in fear.  I'll repost with final results after my 16 weeks are up.

Should have some early test results this week, but wondering if the location of an initial outbreak is always at the point of contact?  Then recurrences can be anywhere in the boxer region?
Thanks

Into week 6 of symptoms I continue to have right buttocks pain, general genital itching, on and off burning on the right side of my penis, pins and needles feelings in my feet, shooting pains in the groin, and crawling feelings anywhere below the waist.
Last night I had extreme pain in my right buttocks.  As with all symptoms,  I have had on and off pain for all of the 6 weeks.  Today, I have a pimple (area of redness) on the right buttocks where the pain is.  Can't tell if it's herpes or not,  No itching, or burning, doesn't hurt to sit on it.  But, it does feel like I'm sitting on a lump.  I had tingling in that buttocks a week ago.
I had chlamydia and gonorrhea testing done but no results yet.  Also, had a type specific herpes blood test, but no results yet.  I know it would not be definite but will give some peace of mind.
My questions, if you would give your insight of experience, I'd very much appreciate it.
I) I never noticed any lesions on my penis, the exposed point of contact.  Wouldn't the buttocks be recurrent lesions and the exposure point should have been evidenced on my penis for an initial outbreak?
2) Aren't 6+ weeks a long time for initial symptoms?
3) Can tingling a week ago be prodrome for an outbreak?
Thanks so much for your attention and help

since you had unprotected sex, you should pursue full std testing at the proper times to cover your bases. if you haven't already, you can test for chlamydia, gonorrhea, ngu and trich now. in another week, you can also test for syphilis too. you need to wait a full 3 months for hsv2 igg blood testing to be accurate. depending on the hiv test you get, depends on if you can have that done now or if you need to wait until the 3 month mark for that too.

do your symptoms sound like herpes? not they do not. I'd follow up on them from a non-std related stand point with your regular provider.
