Need a second piece of mind

I had a unprotected intercourse back I'm November 16 and last time December 3 with the same partner I tested negative for everything on December 28 for HIV,chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphills and a specific igg test for hsv2 negative testing was done at planned parenthood  i still keep having these symthoms tho my shaft hurts towards the bottom and it feels like it burns sumtimes I did develop a single pimple where my shaft hurts it was only there for not even a day it popped on its on white puse came out with a lil bit of blood looked just like a normal pimple it freaked me out  :/ but these are the only symthoms I have had so far I haven't develop anything else I retested again on 1/11/14 once again everything was negative I have seen several different specialist and they can't figured out was wrong with me :/ my final test was a hsv2 type specific igg at 14 weeks negative also at planned parenthood so not sure what to do anymore they giving me a steroid cream which I heard it triggers a herps outbreak which haven't had that happened is that true?? all the specialist and urologist  say I wouldn't have lasted this long if it was herpes related it's now been a lil over 3 months now has anybody else experience the same thing if so what does it turn out to be? both my results for hsv2 score was <0.91 both times it was the same they don't give u a actually score they just tell u it's below a 1 how accurated are planned parenthood test? I have also experience sum burning thighs and feet not sure if it has anything to do with it it comes and goes seems like my body has been acting funny since that last intercourse. Should I put herpes behind me and move on? Is there any more test I need to do at this point?

You can become a patient of our clinic , yes, though not online.  You can call and make an appointment for a phone consultation likely even this week.  its really pretty easy.  I'm glad you are going to clarification.

Is it possible for me to become a member of your clinic online and you order the test to a new jersey clinic site for me? If so please let me know. Thank You

Can you please tell me any clinic close by  in new jersey I can travel to to get the western blot done? I currently live in nyc. I have had the same partner for 4 years. In oct i was tested for hsv2 and told i was negative 0.77. Now this march after shaving and getting cut my gyn tested me again and said i was positive 2.8. I asked my partner if he had an affair he denies it. I don't know what to believe and would like a western blot to confirm everything. Thanks!

I think it's time too to put herpes behind you.  Normally, I would say a genitourinary dermatologist would be your best bet.  Don't know if you have that specialist in your area, though.

I think you will find that your test is again negative.

I'm not sure what you mean about sun treads, but sun can trigger HSV oral outbreaks, yes, we do know that.  I has really nothing to do with genital outbreaks that we know about.

This isn't the way this online program works.  You need to post you own post, not put your question in someone else's post.  Sorry

Hi Terri,

You seem to have a good idea of herpes. Please hear my story and help me.

I started dating a guy sept. 2013 and we had sex between January 4-15. After that, I experienced a cold sore on my top lip(I knew at that point I has hsv-1, no biggie). I started to experience a sore throat(white things on the back of my throat, warm sensation in my vagina and a crawling feeling in my anus. So I decided to take an hsv-2 blood test on January 30th which came back negative. I also took an hiv as syphillis test on February 12 which also came back negative. Soon after, the heat in my vagina turned into a burning sensation, along with smelly discharge. I went to the doctor on February 19 as she said it was chlamydia. She gave me doxycycline, metronidazole and canestan vaginal inserts which I took from February 20-27. I took another hsv-2 blood test on February 27th which also came back negative. I got my period on the 27th as well, which on the third day seemed to trickle, then go back to full bleeding.

On Monday march 3 I felt great pain in my right labia majora. I took a painkiller and went to sleep. The next morning I woke up and felt a hard lump between my labia majora and minora! I looked at it and it seemed to have no head, just under the skin and painful to touch. It became large almost like a marble. I went to the doctor on Thursday march 6 and she said it "looked herpetic." Then said "no no, those are your normal vaginal bumps." She prescribed Enhancin and ibuprofen for the pain. As soon as I got home from the doctor, I felt pain in my vulva again as another hard skin-deep lump appeared on the opposite side of my vulva to match my marble size lump on the other side. The veins down there look raised as well. This new lump felt pea-sized.

Yesterday morning I woke up and felt a small painful pea-sized lump under my armpit. I became scared again. I went into the bathroom last night, sterilized a needle and tried to pop what looked like the head of my marble sized lump on my vulva. The prick was small so only a bit of blood came out.  I got scared and slept with a piece of toilet paper there(it was quite rough.) I woke up this morning to look at it and it hasn't scabbed over, but the thin skin of the minora around the area I pricked with my needle is gone, and it looks red and fleshy all around it. I can see 3 white dots but I'm not sure if they are raised or not.

I'm so confused as to what this is! My doctor seemed confused too!

Please help!

Ps. I have a yellowy discharge that smells almost medicinal. Mild itching from time to time but nothing constant. Crawling feeling around anus still comes every now and then as well.

A number of medical conditions can cause that sensation.  I would refer you back to your medical provider to talk about these conditions as they are not my area of expertise.

Again, I would let the negative antibody test reassure you.  If you cannot let that reassure you, then you may wish to consider getting a herpes western blot antibody test in addition to the ones that you have had.

Thanks for your response Terri It was the same partner and no she never got tested so that worries me haven't been sexually active since. I wanna put this behind me and move on but there's days that my penis feels hot/warm like it burns  and once again I start thinking it's herpes related that's been going on for a few months now  is that consistent with herpes? There was also sum unprotected oral performed on me if that changes anything. Thanks again

Yes, I think you should put the herpes worry behind you and move on.  The Planned Parenthood test appears to have the same negative scale as they usual tests used for screening, so I'm thinking it is just fine.  The pimple sounds like just a pimple - a herpes lesion would not behave in the way that you describe this was happening.  I don't know about the pain in the shaft of the penis - that isn't consistent with herpes infection either, especially something lasting this long.

Do you know if the partner has ever been tested?  Do you also have a regular partner?  Was this someone different?

There are no other tests that you need to do at this point, no. A negative ELISA at the time you did it should be adequate to reassure you that you don't have herpes, though I am not sure that you are reassured?
