I would wait about 3 months, just to be certain. You are more likely to transmit herpes when you are not on daily therapy.
The result of <.91 make more sense that it is a true negative. The .9 is the reference range, and below that is negative. If I"m reading what you wrote correctly.

So I got my old test results from 2003. My HSV1 was IGG 5.65 and my HSV2 was IGG 1.58. I have stopped my valtrex and plan to get re tested. How long should I wait? Also, my most recent test came back as <0.91 not 0.92.
I requested my previous lab results. It will take 7-10days. I will post my results once I get them.
I meant equivocal not inconclusive. I did not test for hsv1 because I knew that would positive.
I seriously doubt that you could go 10 years without making antibody, in spite of taking Valtrex daily. HOWEVER, your index value, though equivocal, is up there. Not positive, but up there. What is your HSV 1 value? Can you get a copy of your original lab report so I could evaluate it? I think there is a good chance that you don't have herpes, but at this point, we just don't have enough information to make a firm statement about that. Ideally, you would go off Valtrex and test again when you've been off for three months or so. If you went to a full positive at that point, that would be very important information for the whole body of herpes knowledge, but might come at a cost to your girlfriend if she is not infected. When you say her results are inconclusive, what does that mean? Can you clarify?

I meant to say that my girlfriends tests were reported as equivocal not inconclusive.
