Odds that I contracted herpes

Thank you in advance for taking my question...

About 3 weeks ago I had an encounter with a prostitute, while she was on top of me I rubbed my penis against her vagina skin to skin for about a minute. Also, I received oral sex from her using a condom. I never penetrated her vagina. About a week after this encounter, I went to a massage parlor and received a hand job with lubricant. Then I noticed a couple days ago I woke up with my penis feeling itchy and noticed what appeared to be a single pimple type lesion on the base of the shaft of my penis. Its in the area where there is some hair but I cant tell if there is a hair coming out of it or not, just hair around it. Its more just red than a zit as I can't see any white head on it. A couple days since I can say maybe its a little irritating but overall its not painful, the itching stopped shortly after I first noticed it so its just slight irritation. Today I noticed it looks like dry skin around the area as well, what look like a few very faint flakes of skin.

My questions are...what are the odds that this is herpes? Whats the percentage that you could get herpes this way? Am I over reacting or should I be nervous? Is it possible for herpes to show up like this? With just one spot? Please help, thanks.

They could make a diagnosis but the only way to be certain is to insist a culture be done if at all possible.

No, not yet. I'm going to go tomorrow. Would a clinic be able to tell by looking at the lesion if its herpes or now? Like I said, its a single small red area, I guess looks like a pimple is the closest description I could give.

have you been seen to get a better idea of what this is? if not, you need to do so. you can get std's from the skin on skin contact you had but the risk is low. many other infections out there too that can cause these types of symptoms which is why proper follow up in a prompt and timely manner is in your best interest.

having a condom on from the moment the clothes come off is the  best way to protect yourself during sexual contact even if there isn't any planned penetration.
