Open Wound\rash then hand to genital then hand to open rash

Went to the strip club and got some lapdances. I ended up getting a rash from all the heavy grinding from the lapdances on my shaft edge fo my penis where the foreskin meets. Later I got a private dance from a stripper and then touched her vagina for about 5-15 secs which was not really wet. Immediately after I touched my penis in the exact same spot I just got the open wound\rash from grinding for about 2 secs, this episode repeated itself about 4 times as I was moving my penis from further rashing while she was giving me a lapdance. Can I get herpes this way. I didn't really see any sores on her or feel any, as it was dark. Its been about 24hrs since the encounter. I get tingeling and the a little itch on my testicles, this is usually when they shrink from thinking about having herpes and being paranoid. I read that you get your first outbreak 2-14 days after first contact. Should I get testing after about 2-3 weeks if I don't show any sores or bumps? Can get herpes this way. I'm really scared now.

There can be errors with the HSV 1 as well.  You are in the low positive range for HSV 1, as I mentioned.  A western blot would clarify things.

The symptoms that you are having on your penis are not typically herpetic.

Thanks for all the responses in advance. For the last 3 days I noticed one very tiny bump on the right side of my penis head/glan. On the first day it was only slightly visabile when I stretched the skin. Next day if got a little bigger. And 3rd day there is a black dot in the center of it. It has been 21 days since exposure from when I first saw it. It doesn't itch or burn and doesn't feel like its raised. I took pictures of it from the first day I saw it to now. Is there anyway I can upload a picture of it to you. I'm now extremely worried, what are the odds of this bump showing up 21 days after potential exposure.

As for HSV 1. I've only had sexual intercourse with one person which is my Girl friend/fiance of 12 years, who has tested and negative for everything including HSV 1 and 2 about a week ago. I would assume that my positive HSV1 would be oral and not genital since she has been my only sexual encounter, both orally and vaginal.

Also would it be wise to take the western blot test. I would think that if there was an error wouldn't it mess up my HSV 2 test which was negative? or are there common false positives for IGG HSV 1 tests?

Because your HSV 1 number is in the low positive range, you could get a western blot to clarify the results.  Remember that 56% of all Americans has HSV 1 and many are without symptoms.  Even if your HSV 1 test confirms, you can't know where you are infected, only that you are.

So I went and got tested for all stds. Here are my values. Everything came back negative except for HSV 1.

Reference range: 0.00-0.90   HSV1 result of  2.53  testing with IgG.

I've never had a cold sore from what I remember, so I'm a bit confused on how I got positive results for HSV1. Funny thing is, my girlfriend of 12 years recently got tested and she came back negative for everything. My question, is this a definite positive for HSV1 or could this be a false positive? Should I get retested ?

I got the picture, yes.  I don't think this is a risk for the acquisition of herpes.  There would have to be so many factors that would have to come together at exactly the right time, it just seems so far fetched, I don't believe it is any risk.

Because you have limited sexual experience and because you feel the consequences of acquiring herpes would be so severe, you are overestimating the chances of getting herpes.  That is understandable, of course.  That's why you have me here, with good perspective, telling you not to worry.  I also don't think you need to test.

Hey Terri,

Thanks for the response. Not sure if I was to clear on my explanation as I've been getting alot of anxiety attacks during write up of my question. My concern is that I recieved the friction burn while getting a lapdance. Then touched the strippers vagina and then touched my penis immediately after in the same place I just recieved the friction burn. Could I get herpes that way? I've had no other symptons. Today I had some bowel movement almost like diarehha, but I'm thinking its from all the built up constipation. Also when ever I think about my lymph nodes in my neck, they feel irratated. There not swollen or hurt, but feel kinda stiff, also guessing its from my anxiety. In about 1hr it will be 6 days since exposure. I have not had any testing for Herpes, but plan on getting them done soon. I've only been with one person my whole life for sexually for 12 yrs who I will be marrying. She has been with 2 virgins before me, and has kissed one other guy. Can I be relieved after 10 days of no symtpoms or is it 14 days?

Thanks

Sorry, when you add posts to your own post before I answer, it doesn't pop up for me as an unanswered question.

You can't get herpes from a lap dance in the way that you describe, no.

I sounds to me just like you had issues because of friction.
have you ever been tested for herpes in the past?  I can tell you that this experience wouldn't give you herpes but I obviously can't tell you if you had herpes before this encounter.

Hoping that someone could give me an update. 2 days now and no symptoms. 2 weeks left. Ive had extreme anxiety to the point I can't eat and have diarehha. Been thinking about it non stop had to take off work. This is the worst ive ever felt in my life as I have a fiance and will not even touch her until ive tested after 2 weeks. We will be using protection until 2 months when I can get a blood test ,accurately.
