Oral Herpes

Am just curious to about this. I was diagnosed with oral herpes so does this mean I can only transmit this virus orally and not through my penis? So I can have sex without condoms and don't have to scared of transmitting the virus to my partner? Please help clarify.

Just so you know HSV1 can live on genitals AND mouth! You should tell all partners you get "cold sores" just so they're aware we have the basic herp! Give people that choice. My lil sis has never had the chicken pox or oral herpes and if you can avoid herpes. Its way better. These diseases **** with your nerves and is horrible for those of us with bad anxiety & stress.

Oral herpes is in the mouth. Not genitals. You can pass oral herpes to your partner via oral sex but not from penis/vaginal sex.
